Geopolitics

Geopolitics is the study of the effects of geography (human and physical) on international politics and international relations. It examines how geographical factors such as location, resources, and environmental characteristics influence political behavior, power dynamics, and the strategies of states and other political entities. Geopolitics often considers the significance of territorial boundaries, access to resources, and demographic distributions in shaping national interests, security concerns, and diplomatic relationships. The field incorporates elements of political science, geography, history, and sociology to understand the complex interplay between geographical conditions and political actions on a global scale.
